On Sunday 26 December, only one day after Christmas, the atmosphere was not so merry at Olivet Baptist Church when a fight broke out between attendees, as per Black America Web.

During the pastor’s sermon in Chattanooga, Tennesse, confrontation was sparked between two men at the front of the audience and they soon began fighting.

Live footage was uploaded onto Twitter by a user named @beetIejess and has since received over 1.9 million views along with more than 79,000 likes and a comment section full of hilarity.

In response to the sudden dispute, the pastor immediately addressed one of the individuals involved and instructed the men to listen and stop fighting.

Hosting the sermon at the time was Bishop Kevin Adams, described in his Instagram bio as the KLA ministries Senior pastor for Olivet Baptist Church.

@iamkevinadamssr took to social media to address the situation with a video, first acknowledging his close family-like relationship with the man in the white t-shirt.

While the Bishop did not clarify what exactly sparked the drama, Kevin Adams explained that the young man who began the conflict is a member from the church’s community.

Regarding the incident, Kevin Adams reported that the attacker began striking Sands for an unknown reason while he was standing up to preach.

Bishop Adams stated that the man had just been released from rehab and further insinuates that he may have relapsed.

After the interruption, the man was unable to be calmed down and he reportedly broke down in tears.

To conclude the situation, the Bishop confirmed that the man is returning to rehab and the church is fully supporting him.

TWITTER REACTS TO THE VIRAL VIDEO

Although Bishop Adams was disturbed by the drama, Twitter seemed to find the situation amusing.

A user named @westside_Twi shared a remixed version of the Twitter video, adding intense music to the edit.

Unsurprisingly, funny memes also began to circulate the post and more church fights were even shared in a thread beneath the original video.
